I've wanted to try one after having Stihl issues. How difficult is it to find parts?

The parts and BB kits are everywhere. I thought about doing it to my 6421 but when I had the chance to snag one already done I grabbed it and now I will just leave the other one stock at 64cc.

Difficult, for me. Closest dealer is 45 minutes away and only sells - no repairs... additionally, I've read that parts for the older saws can be hard to find. I'm a proud DCS 6000i owner. I would not call it light though. The chain adjust position is awkward, next to the muffler and bar... I see it as more of a forestry saw than a climbing saw, but it's my only 20" bar saw so I climb with it occassionally.

She is a saint, I have zero complaints.

The only thing I might change when required is the chain style. It has a full round instead of a chisel and has a solid nose bar. If I recall they both rob power from the motor. I've read about that but have no real knowledge if that is true or not.

I got to many saws but nothing over 64cc. This will be my trunk saw when needed which is why I really didn't want to drop over a grand for a new Stihl or Husky.

You might want to take a look at these guys. Really good customer service and the best prices I've found. It's just a little mom and pop saw shop and I like supporting places like that so I give them a plug every chance I get.
