65m Mountain Ash Removal

Hi guys,

Here is our latest vid.
Treegear TV | 65m Mountain Ash Removal

Job was to remove a multi leadered Victorian Mountain Ash of which 1 stem had already failed. Running the gear shop I don't get to climb as much as i'd like these days, so this was a good opportunity for me to get out with the tree crew (yes i still own a tree service co too), put some new products to the test and have a bit of fun!

Unfortunately, i only got my helcam the night before and didn't know i needed to format the SD card prior to use, so the whole first day for me in the tree was missed

Dissapointing because it would've showed all the higher climbing/rigging etc.... Oh well! I did most of the climbing, but day 1 was tag teamed with 2 other climbers so i got a bit of that from the ground.

Nice vid, different climbers involved ? I noticed the rope wrench and the normal drt system troughout the vid and 2 different pair of gloves ;-)

Class work though, nice to see the Avant mini shovel at work. Did some work with that machine some while ago and it is briljant :-)

Climb safe

Hi Wouter, we tag-teamed a bit as i couldn't be there all of the 1st day.

That footage from the ground is of the other climber, all helcam footage is me.

Took more than 1 days work! And i wore different gloves on the last day with the crane. I mixed up techniques where i felt it work best, as well as to try different things. SRT on Unicender, doubled rope off secret weapon on SRT line, SRT with wrench for re-ascent and working down spars, doubled rope near the end was working from *another* high point.....
