There were two trees in a forest, father and son. They were discussing a third tree nearby. The father thought it was a son of a birch, but his son thought it was a son of a beech.
A woodpecker flew by and lit on the father tree. The tree asked him to do them a favor - "Fly over to that tree and peck it and tell us if it's a son of a birch or a son of a beech."
The woodpecker agreed, and soon the trees heard him happily pecking away. A few minutes later the bird returned and said, "You're BOTH wrong! That was best piece of ash I ever stuck my pecker in!"
