Qualifications
Must possess a valid driver's license,
Must pass company-driving test.
Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification.
Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris often weighing 25 lbs. or more; feed brush into brush chipper.
Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Carry, lay out and stow materials, tools and equipment at work site.
Work from the ground using handsaws, poles saws.
Drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned.
Service trucks and equipment. Keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Report the need for repairs to truck and equipment to crew leader.
Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent voice communication with workers aloft.
Help enforce job safety practices.
Perform related work as assigned.
