2022 foot ascender recommendations

Just some magnets I saw on my fridge. Belong to the kids I believe.
Well, you gave me an idea .
I'd core strands out the short cut appropriate length of paracords and put two tiny magnets on both ends .
Then put it over the dual cam like an bridge. Or the shady point of the Cams like an paracord bridge . May be that's gonna prevent some " kick out "? I don't know. but I should try it. Little tweaks needed but that would be interesting mod too....

That's right. Lol :ROFLMAO:
wrong question.

Haas Velox or Saka which one do you guys thinks better ? I'll say SAKA.
Couldn't tell you I just have my half ass, I was working on cleaning it up a little and did my first sewn eye for the foot loop yesterday. If I were to buy one I'd get the saka both because it looks nice and I'd prefer to buy from Richard.

Oh You mean Mr. Richard Mumford ? Richard with Capital letter Rated " R " ? ....lol
Yeah I dont know the guy personally but i do watch his YouTube videos a lot . I do love how & his stance over always tries to improve existing equipments in a market .

Last time the one cracked me up was foldable SAKA. LMAO
That was so one tight idea.... lol
What a blind spot modifications that was !!!
I love that guy.
Richard and I have something in common. I get dyslexic about differences between Aluminium, Stainless steels, galvanized steels time to time. I've seen him gets confused on those sometimes so . I guess it's doesn't happens to everyone but only us gets confused it seems like . LMAO

Some of his climbing methods on his video taught me something to me too.

I really do appreciates how he explains his ways to go up on trees. (y)

P.S. you doing Sewn eyes ? I'm bad at it. But sticking a masking tape over the rope helped me to hand sewn clean and straight that I remember .

Also, sand paper file a sewing needle to make a ball point saved me a money not to buy factory made ball point needles that I remember.

The foot strap broke after 4 or 5 months, but the bungee is great. Love the ascender itself, too. My saka mini slipped regularly, no good. I like Richard, and think highly of his work, but slipping on ascent is one of my biggest pet peeves.

You know I saw a Mr. JB Holway ' s Videoes on YouTube. where he explains DIY woopie foot loops.
I'm thinking make it with Amsteel material into that whoopie foot loops that's is too strong and durable and so light ASF and so thin . That might be some idea for you .
By the way , does anyone knows where he got that boots ?
I'm trying to find same one... let me know if anyone knows which company makes that boots.

I still haven’t tried the JetStep/Ninja, seems highly recommended. It’s on the wish list now.

I usually use CTs. I like them. I like locking foot ascenders. I’d rather have to reach down and unlock the cam than have the rope occasionally popping out when I don’t want it to.

Also got some Camp TurboFoots and a nice shape green right foot Pantin that I bought 20 years ago. They’re non locking unless you clip a carabiner through a hole and stop the cam from opening all the way.

I made a knee ascender out of one of the TurboFoots, Those ones are so easy to make knee ascenders from, there’s already slots machined that fit 1” tubular nylon webbing.

Same for me, Jonny. The CT does everything that I need a foot ascender to do and is compact enough to not even be noticeable when climbing the tree instead of the rope.

My JetStep is fraying at a sewn strap after short time use.

Might want to see if NOTCH is willing to put their money where their mouth is on this.

They might I bitched about my free geckos in a tree stuff review and they (treestuff) immediately contacted me to see what they could do to make me happy, I pointed out I got them for free as a promotion too, I'd already sold them to put money towards my bucklights so I'm not sure how they would've worked it out.
