Old pantins hands down. But haven’t tried much of the newer stuff.
Dislike ct, camp turbo, and new pantin..
Climbers seem to really like Richard's FOOTIE Foot Ascender.
I'd probably try one of those if I felt like switching it up, lots of good things said about them and Richard sends like a good dude and has been very generous with the community here.

My JetStep is fraying at a sewn strap after short time use.
My old Pantin is for the "wrong" foot, so it throws off my Rope walking game.

My first jet step started fraying a while ago I've had it for over a couple years though, I just bought a replacement to keep on backup. I think I might drill my old jet step and gaffs to mount it on them when the strap finally dies.

My jet step strap has looked to be near death for a year, but is still going strong.

I personally climb with a Pantin and love it. However, I always recommend the CT to anyone who asks. It’s solid, simple, and reliable. The Pantin is a bit quirky sometimes, but for me it works well, though I am odd myself so I often prefer odd things.
CT has been awesome for me. Richard's footie has a strange orientation compared to the CT and it always comes out of adjustment for me. Perhaps it is body specifics and climbing style that makes one work better than another but I love my CT. It takes 2 seconds to pop off rope but it isn't hands free, so I am curious about the double cam style that can come off with an intentional foot movement.
Had OG pantins, couple CT's, a turbofoot, kong futura, climbing innovation's footie.....but my jam is the jetstep or harkin ninja ( same thing ) I must have 6, they never kick out no locking and easy on the rope. But hey we all have different styles. The first one has a frayed strap, I have lots of webbing that Richard sent me, he is a boss....will make a new strap that will outlast the original for sure.

I like Harken Ninja. The cam material are different between Ninja & Jetstep . That's what I heard. Ninja got stainless steel. Jet step got Aluminum. Same looks but Its different in wears and tear rates, heavier or lighter .

I learned long ago that as a working arborist living on a small island, that it is good to buy stuff I like when money is blinging. Also in the arb world things just go out of production. My stock allows me to use an item I like long after it ceases to be made. I did that with OG pantins till I found the jet step.you sure like to keep plenty of spare stuff around
I say BS. Nuff miles on both. Same exact unit except branding. Even the strap wears out in the same spot. Love both. Thought I had 6 but it is 5. Might buy another pair of ninjas. Red suits my eyes.

The cam. the cam Materials differences.Thats what they says. Can you put magnet and see the differences ? Stainless steels must have magnetic pull .
