2007 bandit 1590xp cat motor

How do I check the coolant level? Do I just look through radiator cap and see if there is coolant to the top? Or is there one of those see through eyes somewhere that i'm not noticing? Also do I need to use special cat anti freeze or just off the shelf pre mixed?

Our 140 horse cat doesnt have an over flow bottle either...coolant almost to the top is full...fill it up and let it run up to operating temp...

When you open the cap see what colour the Rad fluid is and go get more of that colour, no need to go to cat.

it had green come out of the overflow think my thermostat is sticking. ill get some good prestone stuff didn't know if it had to be that silicate free coolant

It should be silicate free. Seems to me i use the g -05 for that motor.
