Removed the bucket and toolboxes but the chip box is still mounted.
Detroit metro area
2000 GMC 7500 ex-Asphlundh bucket truck 110k miles good tires and body, all wheel disc brakes, 11' chip box
7.4l gas w/ 5 speed trans is locked in 5th
Gas tank has a leak at over 20gal, gauge is not working and one strap is broke
Has a extra switch to cut on ignition and needs passenger side door internal parts
Truck with the dump only $4500 or I can mount a mini loader deck behind the cab where the boom was for extra, with a 16' flatbed mounted $4000 or cab chassis $3000
I have a trans guy to replace the trans but I'm not interested in the truck as it is anymore. Dump bed can be sold seperately.

What's the length and height on the dump and frame rail width of the truck? From the pictures the truck looks pretty much rust free, is this the case? How much for the just the box and hoist?

Surface rust only on frame. Those year GM's have a galvanized truck body. Southco boxes have always been good to me. 34" rails, 11' dump body 5' inside height probably 6' outside with the boom rest on top.
$1500 for dump with cylinder and hoist negotiable
Royce you're not telling me you've never had a truck that turned into a pumpkin, are you?
For the price, after all repairs the truck would still be more reasonable than from a dealer and at least the buyer will know everything wrong before hand

I was only kidding. With a little work it could be a good truck. I run a 92 GMC bucket truck:)

GMC as is $2500. We can probably work out delivery. Hey Royce does the bucket look better now. Ford diesel 12mpg compared to GMC gas 3mpg. Took 3 weeks by myself to swap everything. My climber/ driver is down with bulging disc and hernia. 2 months backed up now20160901_152823.webp

That things looks sweet!! Plus, you did it yourself so that's pretty freeking awesome too. You must be super psyched now!! Now get it out there working:sorprendido3:

Rope Ladder to bucket? Haaaa, lookin good! Huge step up from the gasser. Brazilian diesel I'm guessing? Those were good motors, my brother has one in a cab over I've been tempted to buy off him. I'm getting closer to getting my blown up DT360 swapped with a DT466 in my bucket.

You get in the bucket after you test the boom first.
I lowered the upper boom rest and it's down to about 5' now. Trying to make some time to mill the wood for the bed and side rails then I'll get the ladder built. Room for plywood or a mini under bucket. 5 toolboxes plus the original Asplundh boxes so plenty of room.
Engine is a 8.2 Detroit. I have 2 others and very dependable reasonable to repair but slow. I haven't weighed the truck but I'm guessing around 18k

Got a homeboy with a solid DT 360 -make an offer mayne!

Thanks but I already have a dt466. Those 360's are good motors but I'm looking forward to a couple extra ponies to pull my big dump trailer behind the bucket when I need to.

Agreed,

I have a T444E in my bucket, but still wish I had a 466 so I could rollllllllll!

I'm spoiled now. I always drive the kboom dump KW T600 w/3406 Cat. 450hp 1900ft/lbs and 10 speed. Making 8 or 9 mpg 36k lbs empty with 25' dual tandem trailer, total weight around 55k
