Im thinking If I do push ups that will stretch things out?
[/ QUOTE ]
I went to a hand specialist physical therapist when I was having wrist tendonitis issues. He said that 2 minutes of stretching every hour would be great. Arm straight, pull fingers back, and hold. Or fingertips on the edge of the counter, palms down, lean on them to stretch. While driving, I also rotate my wrist inward/ thumbward until my finger tips are on my thigh pointing toward my navel, then straighten my arm. Stretches flexor muscles.
Also, grab your thumb with same hand's fingers (like you would never do to punch someone) and bend your wrist toward your pinky finger side/away from thumb. Stretches something along thumb.
Last, with a straight arm, bend wrist inward with other hand.
Stretches extensor muscles.
Push-ups are good for balancing all the pulling and lifting.
Rotator cuff exercises are good for protecting shoulders.
