10mm + Kong = OK???

Was looking at both the snake bite and the KMIII being I am in need of a longer access line. I noticed though that the kong dual ascender is only ment for 11-13 mm ropes. Would you be able to sneak by with the 10 both in work and comps? Or am I gonna have to add another back up to the ascender for the cam with the 10 mm. rope?
 
I have two pairs of the Twin. They both have '8-13 mm' written on them.

But you're right about the website. It does say 8-12 for the Twin. But it also says 8-13 for the Lift, the single handled ascender that is used to make the Twin.

The Sherrill catalogue is wrong when it says that the Kong double handled ascender (the Twin) is for use on 7/16" to 1/2" (11mm to 13mm) lines. The catalogue should read 5/16" to 1/2" (8mm to 13mm). My bad.
 
Yeah, sherrill was where I was getting the info from. Seemed weird that they would be the only ascenders that didn't do the 8-13 mm. Thanks for clearing it up.
