Thanks for the link. Just don't be lulled by errors of fact or emphasis e.g., #991--the proportion of living cells likely exceeds 1% in volume as well as far more than half by number.
#992--way more living cells in sapwood, far more than a thin film.

Might be fun to compare with Shigo's Tree Myths and Pithy Points.

Now that's a great book too Kevin. Mary Reynolds told me about that book a few years ago when I was studying for the NH Arborist Exam. It's still one of my favorite Shigo books.
