In my opinion and my failure that happened last week. If you are doing any dynamic rigging better to stay with the 10 to 1 safety factor for your rigging. so that 1" block is useless to me. I wouldn't use that thing if they gave it to me for free. It would be the weak link in the chain and i have seen a broken sling i really don't want to see a broken block. If the math doesn't add up to me being able to safely butt hitch 4000lbs then I'm not interested in buying anything. We have very large trees here and if the scenario ever happens again where i'm looking at having to butt hitch greater to 40" diameter wood i want to be prepared.
