    Sold: HHx with Swiva-eye carabiner

Selling my HHx for lack of use. I couldn't decide between this and a Rope Wrench so in standard fashion bought both but I cant justify both as a rec climber. It is used with some signs of use. I also tried some Ice tail with the core removed in the the beginning because I couldn't dial in the...

    Rec climbing thowbag launcher

Thanks, maybe similar (I'll keep an eye out), but honestly I was surprised at how much force it takes to pull that back. That tubing is pretty heavy duty and when I first got it I thought it might be a mistake because it's pretty tough to pull back. Plus for a first go at it, having the pouch...

    Rec climbing thowbag launcher

Man those are cool and like 39Buick I have never heard of those and had to search them. I showed my buddy who worked on this and he went down the internet rabbit on these. I will keep bustin' his stones now to see if he will give it a go. If for nothing else some good humor.

    Rec climbing thowbag launcher

Thanks and same here on the pole, but I guess better safe than sorry. I was thinking since the aluminum is relatively thick for a tent pole I should be good to go. Back to the DIY drawing board...

    Rec climbing thowbag launcher

I think I have seen something similar on the arborist mail order sites. 4.5kgs is a bit much for the backpack though. :-) I agree a launcher is mostly unnecessary for me as well and unneeded weight for a woods walk but sure has been fun in the yard. I am still new and enjoy advancing my TIP...

    Rec climbing thowbag launcher

New rec/home climber here (sorry for the long post). I was searching the threads and found some old ones with launchers so I hope it's ok for a new one. First, if you have any ideas/ pics of portable ones please share. Yes this isn't really necessary around where I am but I was talking with...

Happened a few hours ago not far from my town. As I Rec climber I don't know anything about being in the bucket. Stay safe out there. https://www.rep-am.com/local/news-local/2019/07/12/updated-tree-worker-rescued-in-cheshire-after-branch-pins-him-30-feet-in-air/

Ninth mega annual CT Winter rec climb!

Great to meet you guys as well! I can't say enough how much I appreciate the time spent helping and explaining things to the new guy. It really was awesome meeting everyone and seeing the climbing systems in person. So much more to learn but thats what keeps this fun for me.

Ninth mega annual CT Winter rec climb!

You guys ok with a beginner heading over? I live 15 min away from that deli and would love hang out and learn as much as possible watching experienced climbers. I took a class this past summer for tree climbing to hang my kids swing and have been bitten WAY more than I thought I would with...
