    Chemicals & Climb Lines

    Had a leak in my roof; in the process of sealing it, managed to get this stuff all over my climb line (yale scandere). Anyone know if this is harmful to my rope? I reached out to yale but no reply yet.

    Why don't I see this more often?

    I recognize that the hitch climber, amongst other multi-hole pulleys exist; But I never see this setup and it seems to work well. Is there any issues you find with this.
