    Velvet ant?

    Found this in the bark of a white oak. I tried finding it on google but closest thing I could find was a female velvet ant. I don’t believe it is due to this bug has a pronounced seperation on its back suggesting it has wings. The female velvet ant has none.

    New rope dilemma

    I need to get some light duty rigging rope. I was trying to decide if I should get a dedicated 1/2 in rigging rope or use my arbormaster climbing line and get a new/better climbing line? Also, has anyone used arbormax 24 strand from Baileys? I do mostly natural crotching.
