Yea I did do that. Got one spare. I guess a small wood chip must have caused the damage last time. Only 3 blades left!!

Milwaukee telescoping pole pruner. First impressions

Yes. I tested it on everything I could find. It’s rated for 1 3/4” but it will cut 2. Even snipped a couple large rhododendron stems

Not a chainsaw but an actual pruner with a blade.

Milwaukee telescoping pole pruner. First impressions

Yea definitely heavy. It’s pretty easy to get used to though because there’s no cord to pull for the cut. Just a button

Milwaukee telescoping pole pruner. First impressions

Received it last week. We like it already. It’s very powerful and will cut up to 2” limbs. The only con so far is that the blade is not a good quality steel. Like other reviews have stated, it can get knicked easier than other commercial grade pole pruners (manual not battery powered)...

    T540i XP vibration

Update Good news! The vibration was caused by a broken cooling fan. It’s plastic and costs anywhere from 5-20 bucks depending on where you buy it from. I discovered that the fan is fragile and it is a common issue with this particular saw. I am surprised at how much it vibrates and how...

    T540i XP vibration

I don’t think so although I am new to battery chainsaws. This being my first. The sprocket has no play. Bar and chain are good. Not a lot of hours on this saw.

    T540i XP vibration

I’ve had my T540i for almost a year now. It suddenly has a vibration when squeezed the throttle that is pretty loud and I can feel it in my hands. I cannot figure out what is causing it. I took the bar cover off and cleaned everything. It doesn’t make the vibration when the bar and chain are...

    Terms unique to arboriculture

Mouse ear=an improper pruning cut near the branch collar. (Looks like a mouse’s ear because it was cut at a bad angle).

Using a crane to trim hedges

I have a lift but if the hedge will support my weight I prefer to stand inside to get the tops. Depends on the hedge of course!

    Ground protection mats?

I purchased 14 (white colored) Arbormats (4x8) a couple years ago. They’re decent. Not quite as stiff as alturnas. They have handles cut in so they are not too difficult for one man to carry. One thing I don’t like is that they are not a true 8’. About 4-5” short!
