I started this spring. All self taught by reading, you tube, this forum and going low and slow. I'll be 58 this Oct. I retired out of the carpenters and spent a lot of time working at heights building scaffold or climbing tower's so the height didn't bother me. Good Luck!
I ordered one for about 16 bucks from Walmart. Wanted to see if it fits my needs. I know for a fact that I wait to long to have water sent up, I guess I hate to bother the ground folk. That is stupid on my part because I have seen what the lack of hydro does to my output. I always pack a bottle...
With the temp's on the rise I wonder how many of ya use a hydration pak in the tree? I know the last few days a few bottles of water sent up just ain't enough, end up slamming 3-4 when I get to the ground and still pissing yellow. Seems like they are cheap enuff and I am sure you can partial...
Looking at next purchase and open to opinions. Going to either be a stand up skidder with a grapple or a full size with grapple bucket. I'm thinking that I'm going to be limited on capacity with the stand up but a lot more places I could get to compared to a full size. If ya have to pick only...
I have 282' of this 3/8" rope for sale. I believe it to be in new unused condition. I removed it from a Sala RL 500 and according to what information I can gather it is Kernmantle. One end has swedged snap other is taped. Price is $175.00 shipped FIRM
From what I have gathered so far they don't grad steel core fliplines very well with the standard cam. I can only guess there must be something to it since they make a "S" for steel.
Checked every page I can find that sells them but I cannot find in the description if it comes with the "S" clutch for steel core lines? Can't find the "S" clutch listed for sale anywhere either? Just ordered one from Sherrill the swivel is on sale for $139.95 FWIW
Thanks

I didn't really sharpen them, it was more of a reshaping. The original ClimbRight spurs were VERY abrupt at the tip and difficult to get a good bite, after I shaped them to be more like a Buckingham spike they work great. I tried filing them but they are very hard and was not getting anywhere...
I can understand that. I have noticed they are really hip on short bars and being color coordinated, but that is their gig. Seems like a lot more work to me but I'm not doing it!
In no way do I pretend to be a professional tree feller but I have stayed at a holiday inn. What is the deal with the european method of felling trees? I cannot get my head around all of the vertical cut's they make before cutting the notch. I'm almost 58 and have never seen the need but I'm...
They work a hell of a lot better than they used to! I think they have changed their gaff design to more like what I did, they were way to stubby before.
Since you are asking I'll give my opinion on the custom sizing. 15% on a close to $300.00 pair of pant's IMHO is out of control not to mention the 3-4 week wait. I have 30+ years in manufacturing and have some understanding of your process after watching the video on youtube. I know that since...
I don't know about everyone else but I'm saying your pant's are a little short. I would like to see a 36" length offered at least from waist size 32" up.
Thanks for asking!
