Excel is my inventory go-to, but we're talking really small scale stuff, like keeping track of my saws, chains, bars, ropes etc.
I called Stihl and they confirmed my 2016 362C is 90 second reset procedure. They based this on serial number. And they said that they didn't put the new coils in the 362 until 2017.
Interested. I had my Stihl shop work on my 2016 362C-M, and they replaced the solenoid, not knowing if it was bad or not. The unit still struggles on acceleration and will not push the clutch worth shit, very slow to accelerate. It will get to full throttle, but once it touches wood it just has...
Update from my end:
Well wait before the update lemme confirm where I'm coming from: Stock rollgliss R550 with cordless drill.
Update: I'm using the DeFault 996 drill now, this thing is working well. I HAVE FOUND that this drill's clutch will grind as well when running in reverse. It only...
regulations / licensure is not going to stop the thugs. thugs can get licenses, and your mentioned intimidation factor would only deter reporting them against their license.
personally, I don't see any reasonable homeowner risking life or limb to save a few bucks on a tree service, and I don't...
I agree, for a 462 the best way would be the manual... but because they've only made one of them so far so one manual is for one saw. Issue is the 362C on Stihl's website there's only one manual, and they've made now 3-4 versions of the 362 - a non MTronic, MTronic v1, and v2, and is there a v3...
There’s an app for that: Knots 3D
https://knots3d.com/
I use it for the knots I forget, or more importantly when inspecting for proper dress & set. Allows you to flip, spin, & rotate the animation, so you can see it in whatever orientation you’re tying in.
Oh and one minor beef with Stihl’s reset procedure: after the retune when you’re supposed to just flip the switch to off: none of my saws will let me flip to off without first squeezing the control lever and pulling the trigger slightly. I’m predicting this does not screw up the procedure, but...
Video explaining the different reset procedures for the different Mtronic generations:
But my question remains. I have two MS362 saws in my stable, one manufactured 09/14, one 06/16. They have slightly different air shrouds, etc. I believe the older one to be version 1 with the 90 second...
Haven’t heard of this either, but As for the cold, there’s always next year too, I’d have some sort of plan if I was you.
Flamethrower drone comes to mind..
I'm having some issues with my Sterling Tendril MRS climbing system. It runs through the Uni and it normally tends well enough using @oldfart 's climbing in a loop setup. But recently it seems that the Uni cannot catch the rope when I weight it after ascending.
I hip-trust up, pulling the tail...
But that's standard cordage too. I've seen a video of a guy chunking a spar - he spikes down, locks his lanyard in and tugs his TIP and it slides down the spar to him. Is the (rigid) tree squeeze the right cordage / device for that scenario?
I still like my paintballs idea. Biodegradable, legal to shoot, and cheap. You can easily blast the nest from 150'. On the ground, or climb up a ways and rope up the gun. If you miss, just keep shooting, paintballs are cheap.
Nice looking piece of gear, lots of love went into that FS. You can't remote set the choked config, tho, right? Only basket with hydra + ring?
Looking for 2nd tie in point for spar work, I like the tree squeeze idea, but does it always have to have a MRS hitch involved?
