I've been climbing with the ZZ for a few months now and love it. I've used two different lines and at the moment I'm climbing on blue moon. I was using it on vortex and it acted much more like a hitch I think due to the fatter diameter line. It didn't self tend very well unless there was a lot...
Nice vid man. Probably nice to do a bit of work that wasn't ice storm related eh?
Was that shady's crane?
And I thought you were getting out of the tree work game?
I've been climbing on the ZZ for a little while now and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm climbing on vortex but think I may switch to a slightly smaller diameter line as the bigger line seems to not work quite as well. When working at angles that are close to level with your tie I found that to...
Nice vid, that sun looks beauty. Was that from monday? It's finally starting to feel like spring ! I'm assuming your apprentice was working the tree on the right? Almost painful watching them hump their way through the air lol. Did you do any work to the other trees in the background?
Not a bad thing to be out of the emergency area especially just before christmas. I'm in about the same boat as you but on the north edge of the storm in Ontario. About a half hour to 45 mins away from the majority of the damage but it is still freezing rain here so we might get some damage yet...
We do a fair bit of work around primary lines in Peterborough and if needed we will get the lines shut down by the local utility company. They are great to work with as they see it as one less tree that will need to be be pruned/removed by their contractor. They used to give us hold offs but...
Thanks guys
Bix we work at a bunch of courses in the area maybe half a dozen or so. This course is the oldest in the area and they have some awesome trees.
Thought we were done with the snow but we had a little blast of snow friday morning lol.
Took this ash tree down the other day at a local golf course. Finally starting to feel like spring here and work is picking up again.
Enjoy Youtube ash removal
Thanks. Sometimes using the bucket on TDs with rigging can be a pain if you can't get a good truck set up but this job was pretty good in that respect. Ya that one piece was a little too close but I saw it coming and got out of the way.
The helmet cam is a contour roam and I'm using Imovie 11...
Heres a vid from the other day of two Carolina Poplars we took down. Easy trees to take down probably could have got away with dropping more brush if we had of moved the truck.Rigged some of the limbs just to contain the mess to a smaller area. Couldn't have flopped them because of the septic...
I've been climbing on the super cooper for a few months now and I like it a lot. I have been using a micro pulley to tend the hitch because when I did try to tend the hitch without one it didn't tend as nicely as I would like. I only tried it without a micro pulley on HRC maybe a different hitch...
