    ... or maybe the galvanization process decreases the tolerance of the threads that were cut, where as with stainless theyre cut and left as is?

    I don't know where I read this but I heard the threads of Maillon Rapids of Stainless Steel are cut with more tolerance compared to those of Galvanized Maillon Rapids. I haven't had a Galvanized Maillon rapid loosen up, and I usually only use Maillon Rapids of 10mm diameter. And actually I'm...
