could someone post a pic of this setup for me please, i no longer get sherrill catalogs apparently because i havent ordered from them in years, and i attempted to find a pic online but with no luck.
i understand if price is a huge concern those climbrights look like a nice option but when i am purchasing gear i look at what is going to make my life easier and make working more comfortable and to me that is worth the extra money. spikes are not a piece of gear that you will be replacing...
i have been climbing on aluminum geckos for atleast six years now and still absolutely love them. i only wear hiking boots with no shanks or definative heels and the geckos are still extremely comfortable.i think the only spikes that i would currently trade my aluminum geckos for would be carbon...
amsteel blue would not be a suitable cordage for a bridge especially if you plan on knotting it at all. it is not recommended to knot amsteel blue...i would look for a polyester line as a bridge for your saddle. just my two cents
i used to run an altec am90 that was rated for 2000lbs at the knuckle...we used it to remove the top off our chip truck a few times but never any wood. it seems like you are well versed in your machines capabilities just make sure to stay well within your limits and remember that someones life...
To each his own....there is no right answer when it comes to the right setup for a climbing arborist. everyone has different preferences, climbing styles and abilities. not to mention the fact that the region that each of us lives in has a huge role in our systems, i know that i dont run into...
its a bold statement to say that this setup meets ce and ansi standards if it hasnt officially been tested. i completely understand the urge to customize gear and continually push our gear forward but personally that saddle looks terribly uncomfortable. just my two cents.

apparently this is not the case for all of these guys. i have a buddy that will be doing some mule logging on the show this season and being on the show is not...
snake bite is HTP just with a different color scheme and name. i have climbed on htp and liked it.i just purchased 200 feet of escalator but have not gotten a chance to climb on it yet unfortunately.i have the rope sitting in my living room right now and the stuff looks and feels...
that is an awesome sales pitch right there...ive owned twelve saddles and only the tree motion has stuck. i havent owned nearly as many but i totally agree nothing at this current time comes anywhere close to the motion i am on my second and wouldnt think about anything different right...
i would love some advice with the 8mm ocean especially in an eye to eye setup...i do fine with the 10mm ocean but i have had absolutely no success with the 8mm and have not made any double braid eye to eyes...any tricks?
