    Hello, Further to Lemonjello and Oceans ideas, rather than attaching your tail to the retrieval side, you could add a Revolver in there and put a bight of your running end into it, keeping your tail safe at hand. You still have the extra lines, now four, and a heap of rope in the system, but...
