Reason why we hire contract climbers is because we need assistance. I usually put them on the easier less dangerous trees. I always have one or more of my full time climbers assisting them on the big jobs. We bring guys in to speed up the job some not because we can't do it ourselves or want to...
Fall Risk has been doing some contract climbing work for us and has been a great asset to the team! He is very humble in his abilities so anyone needing his services should give him a shout. Thank you Jeff!
Treetopflyer(Aaron) has stepped up to help us for tomorrow. Aaron and I have talked...
The problem I find hiring contract climbers is scheduling. We have 4 climbers on staff and need to fill a hole quickly if one can't come in to work for one reason or other. We as business owners need a database to pull from and how quickly one of the contract climbers can respond to the call...
We have acquired another cab and chasis and are going with aluminum for the chip body build. Our new Terex 770 is filling our current chip trucks too fast. Has anyone purchased from these guys http://m.tlctrkandequip.net/List/Truck/ForSale/4942611
We normally do all our welding in house however...
The ones that don't extend don't last too long either. The ferulls are rivited in place making it a pita to cut end off, dig out the fiberglass re rivert or add a nut and bolt and a shorter but working pole. By the time it takes to pay your staff to repair you might as just bought a new pole...
Of course there were other options. This was deemed the safest option given the circumstances. BTW I passed a few jobs your way Rick. Too far for us to drive down to cape may
Very nice! Looked like a quick one. Was there any concerns of cracking the driveway with that rig? I didn't notice any plywood laid out to protect the driveway.
From what i gather reading this that's why vet prefers to do this in a bucket. a dead eye sling tied to the tree and the lead once cut it is shock loading the hell out of the tree and he would rather not be on tree. Without a lowering block with a groundie there is no way your are putting less...
"Many lengths and dia available to us always"
The sling link you posted on treestuff the smallest size is a 10ft sling. Is that red sling pictured in your post above 10fters? When I'm out of boom we have always just lowered down what we couldn't pick or folded the lead into the hook. Now I'm...
Interesting. First Ive heard of this method. I am not seeing it in the video above. And why is it being done exactly? I'm guessing because you either out of reach or having enough but weight to make the pick is questionable. Enlighten us guys!
From the reviews I read out of the box it does better than the 201t. However it has been noted slightly behind the performance if each was equally modified. We have a few snellerized 201t's and was hoping to order some 201tc's modified from Sneller but from what I read our modified 201t's are...
Thats why I enjoy the new technology of digital readouts on our remote. Its telling us the percentage of capacity. Our first brush pick we always pick smaller and call it our "test pick" and go off those numbers to see how much bigger we can go. Same thing when we get to trunk wood. 50% under...
Looking for contract climbers to assist our crews in production. We have contract climbing and full time climbing positions available. Message me to discuss
It was not a hollow tree. The single rigging point was overloaded. When rigging heavy there should be multiple rigging points of attachment. If one rigging point is the only option and are tied into it, go smaller. We should all learn from this as this becomes a sad reminder.
