    Throw bag-line accuracy issues

I adjust my length. I studied and practiced the technique where the their weight mostly goes horizontal, front to back, them arcing on the throw. This seems to be a distance/ height technique. 50' and under its usually a 1 or 2 time hand throw...10,000th time is the charm. I've been using...

How much do you use foot ascender when possible and how much pulling on the rope without a handle are you doing? I tend my climbing line with my right hand out of habit. I try to consciously notice. More the case, I step up on a fir ascender and slide my device up if not using a tender...

Handled ascender Wrist Rocket or some such named wrist-mounted ascender Sharp sharp chain The 2511t is going to be fine out of the box after a pre-used sharpen. Stock seem to be chattery. Flushcut turned you on to a good builder who I'd definitely use. 2500t for sure. Pushbutton...

Conveniently, the locking anms only hold the cams when open. I wonder the durability of the locking pins.

    Bevel buddy

Yes, that's my take. Morbark is advising a micro- double bevel. Self-reporting, especially when a person is validated in their efforts by the conclusion, is biased, not necessarily right or wrong.

Seems nuts for a 2 hour round trip plus dump fees. Different markets. I could have those dropped 5-10 minutes away and get a lil money.

Am I reading this wrong? Is the "back" or 'front' side the large bevel side? Do you think the BB grinds the main surface of the blade that is ground off by the pro sharpening? The BB cautions to only use 3 light touch-ups between pro sharpenings to avoid Too much back bevel. IME, a...

    Bevel buddy

Can you mention what you saw? I see 2 lines parellelling the edges. Guessing the non cutting edge of the tool rubbing it. One dished section of damage on the lower right. I never take knives out to touch up. Is that so, for you, Merle?

    Bevel buddy

I can't make out what you're showing in post 16. My back-bevel is very small, as best I can surmise from seeing how much comes of the 'front' bevel. The middle of the cutting edge of the blade gets ever so slightly concave, therefore not as tight to the anvil. There is the blade angle and...

I can imagine this might be better. I SUSPECT that the micro double bevel is insignificant.

    Cold and snowy climbing/ working

IDK. I've heard people mentioning moving snow in advance. Sitting in a warm house by a box of fire...Sounds like a great time for JetSledding material, (thinking wood here mainly, but also equipment) with long ropes. Save a lot of walking if you set up a couple redirects to form a loop, if you...

    Cold and snowy climbing/ working

Cut kerfs for grip for feet and rigging. Eucs need kerfs to securely hold ropes from what I've seen. Extra grip for hands for cut and chuck or positioning if removing that section. A sling may make a better foothold or handhold. I cut kerfs into the top of a slippery root that I needed to...
