Ok i said this earlier but it must have been overlooked by many... Often i work with a buddy of mine which runs his lift or elevator bucket together with my effer k-boom. I would love to be going the grapple route but it's insane the price to dump brush/wood. Chips are free. I'm a real small operation but this is what i have found to work for me and 90% of the time i am faster than the competition. I run the Treemek with a 30 yard chip truck with a older bandit...- islandedge

Eric is right about the grapple truck, you'll be greatly disappointed when you realize a knuckle boom is not as fast as a log loader not to mention more fragile with hoses and such being exposed. U hit the nail on the head steve. I love being able to just grab the limb and have someone in the bucket make the cut (they don't need to worry about the slings) it may be slightly smaller picks than the stick boom, but then again you don't need Five Guys on the ground to steer the pieces to the...- islandedge

There was only 1 other guy with a mecanil on their effer for me to consult with in 2017 (now allmark has got his going as well) effer at the time advised against the grapple saw on the k-boom, then said they could do it with the gmt then changed their mind and quit responding back. Now let me call out @allmarkhe has more knowledge in the effer/altec movement with the gmt than i do. He has run/demo the gmt saw and i guess they may have added a feature/button u hold to prevent it from drifting like the earlier models from last year??- islandedge
