    Yikes!

I have seen some dead MFers as well; although i don't think wearing or not wearing a hard hat would have made much difference.... The big idea with any safety gear is to have a safety mindset in the first place. All the gear in the world isn't going to do you much good without a safety mindset...

    Yikes!

So you make your guys wear hard hats when digging a hole or cleaning up a job? If so i wouldn't work for you long. I wear my hardhat in the tree, doing ground work while overhead work is going on, working with equipment, or whenever common sense dictates; but for raking up, putting down mulch...

    Yikes!

other than the lanyards and hard hats, what do you see wrong? the customer wanted the tree gone. they wanted to get paid for taking it down. what is the problem?

Best startup ( ..$$) truck/trailer/chipper combo for weekend warriors ?

In my town there are 7 large mulch processing centers. The local governments also pick up some small debris at no charge. We pay around $1 a yard to dump chips, grapple trucks and trailers, most places pull offs are free. Yes I know....we're spoiled.

Best startup ( ..$$) truck/trailer/chipper combo for weekend warriors ?

I have read this thread a few times now. All of this is good info and good questions, I love the internet. In my market grapple trucks are cheap to subcontract and the 1099 is a 100% write off at the end of the year another Awesome 1099 is a labor service: they do all the payroll expenses...

KW Truck Equipment - anyone bought from them?

well here is a positive for the company: I was looking to sell my bucket truck (and buy a rear mount) and looking for a dealer to list it with so i called them. they would not list the truck unless it had all the cables replaced and the boom hydraulics rebuilt(without seeing or inspecting the...

    spiderjack or zigzag ?

I used a friends zigzag 2 today. It was cool, although it didn't self tend like a spiderjack when run with a fuzzy cougar. I want to try it with velocity.

Recommended Climbing boots with toe protection

I do swing! Now, can I down for visit? Although i stumbled on my new boots the other day cruising a big box outdoor store called Gander Mountain. They are great! steel toes, good looking no hard points in the lacing system so foot locking is easier. it is built on a hiker frame, but is built...
