This choker will work with just as big knot. It doesn't have a space that accepts a "knob". It just needs something bigger than the hole. Distributor agrees a knot will work. Anyway, YES, I don't know stopper knot strength. I guess I should get a break test machine to test some stopper knots.
I am not having employees anymore, so I don't need so many trucks :).

Priced to sell fast, I think.
If I sell this truck, I can buy one little radio controlled choker and transmitter...
Thanks man. I should be bringing my youtube channel back to life with action packed vids, product reviews and DIY modifications to things; this winter. Plus, finally get onto these many products I've had on paper for many years now. Hope to stay on the buzz too and convince some "old-timers"...
Ah yes, sorry. Brocky probably thought the selden ring was bigger than the Beast due to the poor description in treestuff. Where they say it is " 38mm ring size, 28mm sling groove", which is wrong. The hole is 38mm. The ring is around 98mm. In the selden picture, the XRR shown is the...
No problem and thanks. I started out trying to sell to the public and it was time consuming, tedious and not profitable. Then I was supplying TreeStuff, Sherrill, WesSpur, American Arborist and a few other smaller shops. That was better. TreeStuff and Sherrill made decent sized purchases...
That was my dream. I have not done that job yet, but it's still possible.
I have accomplished other dreams though, like going to Australia and working with ACE Tree.
About a month ago, I "got rid" of all my workers. 23 years and I've had enough. The blue collar worker sure has gone...
Anyway.... to the current rings in September 2018. The current rings (and safebloc) are made by Harken in the USA. The same Harken that makes the winch for the GRCS. The huge high quality USA company that started in 1967. They hard-coat anodize SO much of their products and have done...
So they did and the matte black did seem to have a little more friction. The bad thing was is that people are stupid and like shiny things. Some figured automatically that they must be cheap and not as high quality because they looked different and now made by Sherrill, yet I picked a...
Then, they had a question, do you want them highly polished like antal or do you want a matte black. I said, "wow! I really love that friction in the crown and I wished the rings had more, so make them matte black so it grips the rope a little more."
step 2:
I agree to work with Sherrill, let them manage the rings and the new Safebloc:
Euro Marine, which was my North American distributor between me and Antal was amazing all of this time. A company with honesty and integrity. Turned away all the vultures that wanted to bypass me. Euro...
Okay, I'm not sure what you don't know or what the mystery is, so I'll just try to cover everything:
The original X-Rigging Rings were made by Antal in Italy. Very high quality, very hard black highly polished hard-anodize. After a full hard year of using them at work and lots of brutal...
Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry it took so long to check back in. Dang, the buzz isn't as busy as it used to be. Great resource, easy to search, it should be used a lot, like it used to be. Back say... 8 years ago, this thread would have been 15 pages long by now with lots of great...
