Where to put your lanyard when negative rigging?
I have always run a steel core lanyard. I always lanyard below rigging. Climbing line SRT choked around tree near my shins/knees. I like my eyes at the level of the cut. I'm very concerned about making sure I do not cut my holding wood, nor leave too much. Flip side... Here is reason to...- frashdog

Your welcome! The pfanner Ventura rain jacket retails for $250 iirc. Imo worth every penny. One note. I'm 6' 175lb always go with large. And another reason the pfanners are in a league of their own. The rain jacket has an interior wrist gator type thing that prevents water from running down your arm when hands are above the elbows. That is a big deal when working in cold rain. The hood is also superior to anything I've...- frashdog

could be wrong, but pretty sure OSHA only applies to employees' behavior. I think I (owner) am exempt from any OSHA regs. Like wearing chaps or a harness in the bucket. Of course I do still wear all recommended ppe. There is a stick crane guy around here, owner operator. Word is he does not... -

Do we really need to deadwood????
Instead of making a proper cut. What if we left a modified stub. Allowing for some decay to occur at a distance once the decay has reduced the length over time the callouse has met that point and the wound closes. Say you are pruning a 3" diameter live branch.
