    Pricing

figure your hourly or day rate and charge accordingly. We have six crews and each one has a different hourly rate. Jobs are still bid for what they are worth though. My crew might get a 3k job done in 8 hours while the lowest crew might take two days. Boss still makes his percentage just takes...

I’m removing a large branch from a nice white oak. A property line tree that the neighbor was going to hack up. Our customer had sense to get a consultation. We’re still removing more than I would like but much better than a side blast. The tree has some fungus on it and that’s not more area...

Sorry @JD3000 , as much as I love the fragrance and look of viburnum, I still hate dealing with it. Makes me itch just looking at your pics. Also I want to talk to you about permeable paved areas

    Arbortech chip truck marker lights

Good fix. I wouldn’t blame arbortec for that though. I’ve got 4 south co’s in the fleet with that design. Those little LED bullet lights have only been around for a few years now.

    Good Times with Tyler Durden

Well if Tyler comes to Ohio Jason shit could go sideways. With the three of us in such close proximaties the world balance could shift causing massive natural disasters. To much awesomeness should not be in one area!

When is next Fdfs and Fibers Workshop?

Already took that day off work. My card says Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th. Their website says the 27th and 28th. I’m confused

    Plywood on steep driveway

If you’re worried about the plywood sliding, I’ve been known to drive some long barn spikes through the sheets to help. Tires on wet plywood I can’t offer advise on. The spike trick works great for when you pull a fence post and need to drag brush over the hole as well. Keeps ankles from...

When is next Fdfs and Fibers Workshop?

Just look for the long haired guy that looks like he’s been running on no sleep for a decade or so. That’s me. Since having kids, I’ve realized saws and chippers are peaceful

Is a new version of R.R. coming out?

Although I’ve held a RR2 and was really impressed with it, I do agree that replaceable wear parts trump the beauty. Just ordeeed my first RR. Hopefully it’ll be here tomorrow.

When is next Fdfs and Fibers Workshop?

Did you sign up for the one at endors? If so I’ll be there. I signed up a while ago. Scott and Maria ( the owners) are good people. Between the training classes, running the store, and running a full time tree care company I have no idea how they do it. I really enjoy that they are basically...

    vvvvvvvvvv

Are they done modifying it yet? I had one on two weeks ago but it was one of the test versions. Felt fine to me but I’m on the low side of the size chart. Guy that handed it to me is a bit larger and had some pinching when leaning into his lanyard from the side D’s.

Is a new version of R.R. coming out?

I heard it was dead with one manufacturer. As they don’t own the rights to it, it’s possible someone else could pick it up. Old info from two expos ago. Could’ve changed as well. I’d like to see it but the original is serviceable and the RR2 is not. I don’t own one at the moment but I’d prefer...
