    If you milk the rope back and forth near that spot, sometimes you can pull that strand back into place and won't even notice it anymore. That's not that bad of a pull or pluck as I call it

    You will always need to be more carefull using toothed cams on 24 strand double Braid rope like that. Kernmantles with 32 or 48 strand tighter covers are better for this...

    I was going to tell a story much like this if he said he was working g for somebody else. No matter what, it still rings true. You may have to even tell yourself NO...no matter how bad you need the money or whatever the motivating factor is.

    Ya I personally don't believe he didn't get hurt. If he didnt get hurt at all then he must have been very close to the ground which which also doesn't make sense...everything g about this is very weird to me

    I know many guys don't like anchor hitches but if your scared you can tie a stopper. I use an anchor hitch for termination in this situation. I tie it a certain way so that it sits very low and that last turn is on the opposite side of the hitch. Never moves never rolls out never effects the...

    Need to be more specific than "it broke at the tree" ... was it at the knot? or near the carabiner where the rope contacts the biner?
