Yep, skateboarding. Good on you for getting back after it. Too nervous to get back into it now since even a slight ankle roll would mess up my daily grind too much. Keep after it and don’t get hurt!
From my understanding, the Stihl 1/4 bar doesn’t sit perfectly on the 2511 so you have to drill a new hole. My original 2511 has the Stihl setup and works great, it was just that little extra work to fit it on. The Panther kit is probably the easiest direct fit kit.
UPDATE: I have found 1 locally and a member (@oldoakman) is going to help out with a second one. Hope someone else can score from this thread. I have had one for close to two years now with the 1/4 conversion and a muffler mod. Have done the 1/4 panther conversion on the new one and will wait...
Darn shame that people can’t figure it out. At the end of the day it is job security for those providing it because they have to visit every two years to remove the epicormic.
When I first moved to Boise I did my research on local company’s to see who I’d be willing to work with as a contract...
These with ketchup for sure. Mother couldn’t buy them because I would stick them all in my backpack for school and skating around the neighborhood before anyone else had a chance at them.
All 3 of my local dealers are sold out and told not to put in orders because wait times are unknown. Does anyone have 1 or 2 new/very gently used 2511 that they happen to not need/want around anymore?
Segway because of the SPAM content of this thread, but this reminds me of times related to another current thread about hotshot wild land fire. When I was on fire crew, our food bags/boxes always contained spam and powdered Gatorade. If you crack the top of the spam and pour Gatorade powder in...
One of my employees was on a hotshot crew for 6yrs. Another crew member fought fire on a hand crew for many years and I worked on a hand crew for 4 seasons as well. Was lucky enough to go on some fun tours working alongside some hotshot crews. If I would have stayed in fire, hotshot is the route...
From my understanding it varies from state to state. In Idaho from the ground to the moon you can do what is necesssary, “AS LONG AS IT IS NOT DETRIMENTAL TO THE TREE”. The detrimental part is the issue and different Arbs. will give differing opinions on what is detrimental. In your case I’m...
I will have to look further into California and see what there is. Can’t seem to find much of anything on the inter webs.
The Bandit dealer in my area is new within the last year. Great idea to see if they will let me know who has a 90xp. I’m sure I could entice them to let me “see it” in...
No worries at all. Any info that can be shared and valued is all good in my book. I will definitely tell you that a winch is a must, even on a 12”. Our 150 even has one and has come in handy many a time.
Definitely. When I’m not doing quotes I’ll go out and take care of one man work while the crew takes care of the daily grind. Of course we all work together most crane days or large properties where a third climber is needed. The key is to not do jobs solo if it is a safety concern or if it...
