Thanks 802. I actually picked up a 600 2 days ago for a very good price. It works really well and is comfortable. I may get the 500 silencer as there pretty much the same machine and then for those noise sensitive clients I can switch it out.
Does anybody have any experience owning or using the SR 450 and if so can they give there feedback on this unit both as blower and sprayer.
I'm looking at getting a new blower or good used one and at the top of the line is the spray/blower combo. I mainly need it for 90% blowing and only 10%...
I agree with Oroboros, when new it's suited more for a 7/16 inch rope. Mines now worn so it works on 1/2 inch well in SRT although by using the drum I still use 7/16 as well.
Matt it you play around outside of work and do fast descents over and over it will eat away the metal, not what most...
Give them a phone call and then another one. If they don't respond to emails or phone calls make a post to draw attention to it. They need to stand behind their products and I'm sure they will First give them a reasonable response time.
Also could ask treestuff.
Hard to tell by pictures, I know the anodizing does flake, But the first and second picture looks like wear from descending. Mines worn in the same place on the bottom, but mine worn more so. It's fun but when you bomb down fast the rope creates a lot of heat in those two places. I go slower...
Always good to switch things up and go with what drives you. Quarter century is a great amount of time spending it in trees. All the best on your new endeavors.
Really nice! Besides getting the money together quick, the just under 3000 km puts it into the hard to reach category. I guess that'd only 1700 mile. I've been looking at that combo for some time. Very nice indeed.
Why you getting out of tree work?
I really like how the handle and scope are attached. Looks like there both on a rail scope mount? How is the mount attached, glued? Can ask your friend and let us know, that would be great. Also is the pressure gauge just screwed and taped or is there another method?
Thanks!
Good reminder on cycles to failure, keeping track of equipment and when to retire even if it still looks good. I don't think thus was the case but it's the first thing I thought of that I could improve upon. Logs of equipment.
Thanks for the video.
2 years latter how does that hold up Steve? Did you ever get it break tested or just real work tests.
Looks like standard ultra sling with a locked brummel using only 1 end of the line.
Anyone else with actual experience using this configuration please let me know, thinking of putting a ring on...
Misfit, what was your old saddle you like better?
I'm very Happy with a Tree Austria and newer petzl Sequoia. I do have an addiction however and if this is up to long I'll be PMing you. Do you have the extra leg pads for them?
Thank goodness!! I was checking every day and losing my will to resist. That rope runner was calling my name but I have other priorities. That blue looks real nice!
DJ, how do you like the Bandit 150? Have you had it for awhile and would you recommend it? I'm about to go look at an older 1998 model with the 90hp Perkins Diesel engine.
Anything that I should be on a look out for that is a weak spot?
Also welcome to the buzz!
