We can lift the basket even when the outriggers are up, very practical when you need to get up onto something. Only downside is you lengrhen the machine, making it less stable.
I'm looking at a used 2015 Carlton, to be more specific. I've used Bandit almost exclusively in the last years and love their chippers, but this seems like a decent deal I just might take my chances on. Anyone have any terrible experiences with carlton?

You'll have a better visual on the stump with a 252, but better and faster maneuvrability with the 30tx. Grinding from behind sucks and takes some getting used to, but is do-able. I try not to get influenced too much by salemans, especially if they don't have any experience in our industry.

That's awesome! We do work in similar woodlot for the city here, on a much smaller and less thorough scale. We have installed the idea of leaving "tomem" trees and also leaving branches on site, when practical.
