    I think the first thing to be considered is soil type and volume. I think you will find that the soil is not only too small a volume but it is dominated by construction waste and lime(stone) from mortar with very little to no organic matter. I would like to see these trees in a free draining...

    I have never had much luck being able to separate the three southern most Nothofagus. There are loads of Nothofagus at Ushuaia but 60 miles south N. antartica is the southern most tree in the world. There are no trees at Cape Horn
