    DRT

I know this an old tread, didn't know where else to pose this question. At the moment I only have 1 200ft line...thoughts on joining 2 smaller lines to make up an additional 200+ for a DRT climb? So as not to be anymore confusing, I mean climb on the 200ft line with one device, then join 2 100ft...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

Has anyone tried the BDB on Bluewater Assaultline 11.5 static? I seen someone mention they were gonna try a piece of Bluewater Safeline but I never seen the results.

Has anyone tried Bluewater Assaultline 11.5mm static with the Akimbo?

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Dang....could that mean instead of summer/fall, it could end up winter/spring 18?! Also I have seen where some buzzers have mentioned they like the RR on 1/2 static line such as the NFPA G rated type, will the RR2 be the same? The BDB is a bit snug (although the XL version would probably work...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Back to the original post...I've just heard from a Rock Exotica rep that it looks like mid summer or possibly early fall for the RR2. Depending on final tweaks.

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Steve would be great to demo for his area as well.

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

I would be very happy to demo a RR2 prototype for my department:-). Supplied with some recent findings concerning NFPA and use of equipment on TRT not rated, may be able to convince the AHJ that the RR2 could be a serviceable addition to the Tree Rescue cache. The department I am with is forward...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Thanks Steve. I was gonna email those to you, but I guess you have them now. I'm gonna do a little more research and see if I can find more stuff from Mr. Kovach and possibly others with like information.

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

DSMc, I agree, I have tried watching Jared's videos to learn how he used the Rig, but he's just to fast. Again my original thought was would a device such as the RR ever obtain a NFPA rating. What is actually acceptable according to NFPA and Tech Rescue is confusing. Here is an interesting link...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Yes the first pic is tied off with the tail, I depressed the top arm to see how it reacts. The bone compressed and made it very difficult to untie the overhand above the bone. It's not at all that I do not like the I'D, it's just nice to have options. I'Ds are allowed for the work climb at...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Good points Steve. I didn't mean to imply that either of those pics could make the bone (or rr) NFPA compliant. I originally hypothetically questioned if a device like this could ever be NFPA rated, which of course would break the barrier for TRT's to use these devices for Treetop rescue. If...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Hey Steve, I don't have a RR, would it not be possible to lock-off a Runner in a similar way you would a rack? Having used rescue racks for a few years I know I would feel more secure on a Runner type multicender than a rack. As you know there are times when using a rack that you can't go...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

I believe there are other Buzzers that have Fire Service backgrounds that are familiar with trying to use anything w/o a NFPA stamp. I'm no authority but from my limited experience obtaining training within the ARB community I believe it would be a rarity to perform a pick-off type rescue...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Mr. Bingham, thanks for commenting. I will try to attach a couple of NFPA files about load ratings. I'm thinking something rated such as the Petzl I'd, it is NFPA G rated, but in order to decend with a two person load extra friction is required. The zigzag and hitchclimber I believe have similar...

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Got an adjustable BDB, really like it but waiting on a multicender with some type of certification for a chance at aerial rescue for Fire Service use. Will something like the RR or Akimbo ever see NFPA certification possibly? Would be awesome if so.

    This is the Akimbo

Thanks anyway...I'm going with what Gordon says.

    This is the Akimbo

Steve, do you have any of that left? I'd be interested in a piece to try with the adjustable BDB.

Any updates on the rope runner 2?

I imagine there will be some good price drops on the RR when the RR2 hits. A lot of RR's out there, surely replacement parts will be available for quite a while. Has anyone out here used a RR2 prototype and have comparisons to the RR?
