    Excellent, thanks I went to the maritimes college of forest technologies. New Brunswick Canada It's a 2 year course that I took over 1 year in a condensed program. 6 days a week 8 to 5.

    Im climbing on New England km3 for now, it's the first rope I've ever climb on doing tree work and I know it's not a "tree work" rope because it's static...but I do like it even though I have nothing to compare it too, would like to try something else...I might buy another rope from tree stuff...

    I have the buckcat saddle by buckingham with liger mod. I don't have a knee ascender. I made a small tether for the spine of the hh and I will make myself a chest harness to clip to it so it self-advance. I'm really looking forward to using the new setup.

    Got the hitch hiker from my wife for Christmas as well as a ct foot ascender and a friction saver for ddrt. Now I just have to tune it up some and should be rope walking in no time.

    I see what you mean...good point, I'll see how it works but like you said I'll most likely have to pull the slack under the hitch hiker once my weight is on my hand ascender. I'll try to figure something out once I play with it a bit.

    I finally made my decision after a couple weeks of research. I decided to buy the ropetek hitch hiker 2. I also ordered a foot ascender and a friction saver so I can use it ddrt once in the tree. With the foot ascender and my handle ascender/foot strap I'm hoping to rig up some type of rope...

    Thanks a lot for all the good replies guys. I think I'm gonna stick with srt for now and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go the rope wrench route. I will look on YouTube a bit to see how it operates...if i can operate it one hand on descend "which is what I'm looking for " I'm pretty sure I will go...
