Someone asked me what they cost at the recent crane man Inc class. I said I can’t afford to not own one. It’s not about how much they cost it’s what they make. I told my wife I may be building another bigger one she said she said go right ahead knowing the cost. I worked till 7:30- 8 pm the last...
@CanaryBoss hurricanes don’t scare me lol. I have raced the Baja 1000 multiple times which is basically a 24 hour hurricane. Don’t want to tie the thread up I will PM you.
Have you checked out the Palfinger cranes. Palfleet builds beautiful trucks and their support is top notch.
I showed up...
@CanaryBoss I would like to get involved in storm work, noticed you had mentioned something about it in an earlier post. So figured I inquire.I have a crane experienced guys and some nice equipment. Let me know
Mek is the way of the future. I have a couple hundred stick crane days under my belt and own a mek. If I could only own 1 it would be a k boom as the versatility is awesome. I’m either thinking of keeping the 33002 as it’s awesome and goes anywhere and buying a stick or a bigger k boom we will...
Rates should be based on what contract climbers can bring to the table. Contract climbers that can do any tree provided they have access to the right equipment should be getting a minimum of $500.00 a day. If I personally was climbing I would want $750.00 a day. I agree with @CanaryBoss that...

Not trying to post in the wrong spot but I have a toro model available that is very similar used once as I had to take it as part of a package deal. Pm me if interested
Great thread. Thanks for posting guys. I am always looking for what motivates people and have still not found exactly what it is. If money were always a motivator all my guys would have their CDLs as well as be certified arborists. That just isn’t the case. I was thinking something along the...
Unless the k boom is 65 meter tons or larger at a 100’ radius you won’t be doing much. That’s 110 territory. It is much easier to learn cranework working off a stick crane. As your moments are more simply up and down and if your strapping away from the stick a good operator can swing you back in...
I had it on a Ditch Witch SK 755. I think the flow on that is 13-15. I got it as part of a package I will have to look back and see what I paid. Please note these don’t grind nearly as fast as dedicated grinders but they take up a little bit of space on the Trailer and make the mini a true Swiss...
