I recognized the photo of the whole tree over the house from the best photo thread and was wondering y the entire tree. Just read your article last night. Well done man! Now I know y you went with one pick. I know the feeling of running out of chart but not to that scale! Nicely executed bummer...
This thread has changed the way I look at broken stuff and down time. Full of great ideas and awesome support. Just wanted to say thanks to all, always appreciated

We run a Ryan's grapple on our Vermeer s800tx. In some circumstances, reaching way out, down over a bank things like that the weight of the grapple is too much. But more times than not it's awesome. The ability to spin hydraulicly when approaching chipper or weaving through fences is a huge plus...
Never thought about it like that. Thank you. Ever have an employee want to pay for something they damaged or broke? Because they feel bad for breaking something that was extremely simple to avoid? I.e. Driving over wheel chocks(blown out chipper tire) things like tha?
I'll give you ours from an employees point of view. Two weeks paid holiday vacation. Yesterday was our last day, we go back Monday January 5. I don't know how it's written out from a business standpoint, but to us it's 80hr of pay. I am on call in case of a massive storm or snow to plow but...
And 5 days after that happened he drove is badass knuckle an hr east, helped us (race mountain tree) remove 6 trees on 3 different job sites. On top of all that, he let me climb with his protos to try it out. It's rare you get to field test $300 helmet before you buy it. (I'm liking it so far.)...
Sweet mark! Had a kboom day myself. Mr. Moeske (allmark) helped me loose my kboom virginity hahah. Got some go pro footage I hope to figure out how to post here. Next two weeks off for holidays so maybe some free time I'll see if I can figure it out. Absolutely loved the knuckleboom!
Nice Mark! I'm excited for my first kboom experience. Race Mountain Tree will be removing a very large sugar maple with Mark and his kboom. I'm going to have to grab some footage for the buzz community that has shared so much with me over that last few years!
Ill be there Friday and Saturday for sure. Pushing hard for Thursday too, just super busy (coming off of a underbid crane week.) Our company is going to have a table at the student job fair on Saturday, wondering if any of you guys have any tips. Its going to be the first one I sit in on...not...
We have the Vermeer s800tx. We love it! its our first/only one so we don't have anything to compare it too but its awesome. The only change we did was we went with a Ryan's Equipment grapple instead of the Vermeer one. (full 360 degrees hydraulic rotation) We have had no problems with it to...
"we have a smoke free work place as well" I really like that. I may take a page out of your book and try to implement that into our company. Good luck with your search, great help is hard to find.
