Want to become a crane climber??

I was hired on to run a crane crew, then did 2 jobs before the crane sat there for weeks. I went back to contract climbing. That contractor calls me when the crane rolls, but it was not enough to keep me around. I get bored being stagnant so I had to move on. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A...

I worked for Foothill tree service up there for a bit. Should have kept heading north and worked for Bixler. He seemed like a cool guy. Did you pick up any work on the Napa fires or the detwiler fire. My wife got pregnant and wanted to move back by the grandparents, bit we basically drove thru...

I did some residential logging while living in Amador County. It's definitely a different world from tree service but fun nonetheless. Definitely teaches you a new way to do things. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

I never saw the tree pre failure, I would say it saved the a.c. condenser tho. It failed this morning. Quick no cleanup job for me.

It was a co-dom that split. The client wrapped it with a chain and binders. The failed stem was hanging from that chain and bolt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

Any more work in California...from the fires?

When I was there earlier this year, the market was being flooded with inexperienced climbers and a lot of washed up loggers. The contractors regulated you to death and the work was never steady. This caused any of the good guys to head to greener pastures. I still get calls from the upper...

whops tree hit the neighbor's truck

We have some local hacks with a few trucks labeled, " Tree Service and Fence Repair". I'd swear it was a joke, had I not seen it myself. With a stronger pull and facing the tree up a few degrees the other direction, it might have worked.

EXPERIENCED HAND FALLERS - PUERTO RICO - STORM WORK

I agree, the going rate state side for hazard removals start at $35/hr. I don't know how many guys with 5 years experience in this kind of work are going to leave their hard earned spots to head down. It does sound like a fun project none the less. I am curious about the living conditions down...

    Crane Crew Start Up

I am the climber right now, but I would love to learn to be the operator as well. To be honest with you I'm not sure who is going to be my operator yet but I have some talented guys working with me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
