    Thanks for the reply. I got lost at the second bight step (the one that goes INTO the Quickie after the initial bight had the Quickie clipped into it)...where did that bight come from? Is the diagram pretty close?

    To retrieve, I guess you either send your multiscender through the union, OR you switch it over to the leg on the other side of the union (if it's midline attachable), and pull the bight through?

    After using a butterfly in a rigging scenario once - which resulted in having to break out the vice grips afterwards to break the knot - I've gone to using the circus bowline (aka "Farmer's Loop") when a mid-line loop is required for rigging. Very good application for that knot.

    Are these meant to be used both with and without spurs? Can't find any mention of that in any marketing materials. The first several times I worked in spurs, I wore boots with a very soft sole, and had tingly toes and loss of sensation for several *weeks* afterwards. Do not wish to repeat.
