    Stihl RS chain points

i can try to take a picture later. also i wouldn’t wanna pay someone to handfile rocked 36“ and longer chains. i just file my own and usually 28“ bar is sufficient around here.

    Stihl RS chain points

interesting to hear that you are set against handfiling. i handfile all my chain until they are gone and they are cutting fast and straight.

    Stihl RS chain points

just file the the teeth that are broken and adjust the rakers to each tooth. not all teeth need to be the same length as long as each raker is adjusted to each tooth.

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

yes, i actually checked the manual while in the tree because i thought i might be in high friction but i wasn’t. i used 12 mm sirius.. i‘m gonna see if i have a thinner rope or just cut bigger. i guess wearing it in will help a little bit?

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

late to the party :) used the downrigger for the first time. it didn’t work too well for us as the dead pine was just to light, only i could lower the pieces until we lowered the wood. obviously learning curve and all.

    Helmets - Pfanner vs. Kask

than you don‘t a helmet for climbing, a regular forest type helmet will suffice and won‘t cost you as much. with the two options i‘d go with the pfanner helmet
