With the Apex would be stationary. I asked him about it and he said it was for stationary or moving rope systems. Just that he had been using it for SRS more than MRS. I haven't seen enough of it to tell how much zigzag is in the design. Sure looks like it from the little snipped though...
I got some feedback from a tester who thinks it's solid but needs work. They've been primarily using it with the Apex and a Carilink. Closer to a hitch than the zz is according to them. I was less excited after hearing their opinion but not disappointed. Still curious personally
my thoughts are to use it for ascent on scandere then as a second system on my tail or for the other end of my lanyard if I need to use it. The interesting thing is those are 3 difference ropes so finding that sweet spot will hopefully be not too bad. Couldn't do it with Akimbo 1. Cant find...
I popped it on Scandere today and amazingly worked without any adjustment. It's on whatever I had the old one on. I only went a few feet. I threw akimbo 1 on it and it slipped. DO you guys find it requires less fine tuning to different ropes. I wonder if it works on scanners if it'll work on...
did a 1" crown clean on one yesterday with 5 tops. Never my 1st choice of tree to climb. I did throw in at about 50' and lead climbed the rest. It was kinda cool to sit in the center of that and listen to the wind.
There's a lot that's a challenge for everyone to be 100% compliant with. I know I appealed something I didn't agree with but..........I'll do my best to do my best
ISA has a pager where you can view and print the document. The delay was an audit fromANSI and some compliance issues had to be addressed. They are responding to previous comments and going from there. I intiaitally challenged their ruling on one of my public comments but have since been...
I've been uploading from the MAC. I'll try with the phone and see. Trying to change them on the phone just to get them to upload correctly seems unnecessary..
It's annoying but I'm gonna post anyway. Transferring from one tree to another to get one piece of deadwood on the tip. Fun stuff. Second pic is backing up a compromised lead to do some weigh reduction in an effort to avoid removing it.
I've used the Gunnebo GrabIQ for quite a few years now. Really like them. I was spiking some numbers on the crane file and narrowed it down to dragging the hooks out from under the logs I put down. I adjusted the procedure and the spikes went away. Remember, your computer reads spikes in...
