    Re: Log and crane truck owners, what is your wheel I think the frame kept cracking because the operator(s) would jack up the outriggers and at that point it was a weak link. We tried to reinforce it but to no avail.

    bout a year now. Its a great truck. We made all the bunks in house. FYI, our first large log truck was a Mack that we outfitted with open bunks also. In an effort to make it more versatile, we mounted the Prentice on the rear. The frame would crack behind the cab.

    Try switching to ear plugs and using a balaclava (sp?). Its the pull over hood. Those things are the bomb.

    Here's a pic of our truck. Its a Sterling with a tag axle. The tag doesn't steer, you have to lift it in tight turns. This truck is awesome!!
