    I'm very fond of my Tachyon in the black, green, and white version. Don't know how it compares to the others in terms of spliceability, though.

    Paring down the climbing kit, plus going minimalist on the camping gear, probably would make it feasible to do by bike. If one is as fit as you are Stan, I'm not!

    Yeah, I know what you mean. I frequently use my bike to ride to a climb, but I find that just the climbing gear alone constitutes a decent load. Adding camping gear would make it a huge load!
