i'm looking at going to Arbor Expo and I see they're offering a course in this, my question is to anyone who has obtained the qualification, did you learn a lot more about pruning to make it worth it?
i've been climbing pruning for about 30 years now I think I'm pretty conservative with what I...
Solved: so all you have to do is lift the metal "ring" so it aligns with the slot and then push super hard on the plastic cylindrical part (no prying). I had to actually jab it with a pair of needle nose pliers like as if using a drift.
Then you align the new one inside the saw and you kinda...
Love the saw, but the harness ring attachment point broke and I got the new part and on one side there are two bolts but on the other it’s retained by plastic. It looks like you’re supposed to maybe pry on it but I’m afraid I’m going to break it. Has anyone done this replacement or does anyone...
New or slightly used. I've been climbing on one for forever, can't seem to find any...
Any leads would be appreciated.
Also anything similar with a batten/bosun seat.
Thanks in advance!

when I applied enough tension (probably too much, with vehicle ) under load when the rope slipped through the
bowline as the leads compressed towards each other, the friction...
Yup that's what I'm talking about. I use a portawrap and rope jack. Have thought about leaving it uncleated with
3 or 4 wraps but usually don't have a hand to tend it.
Funny how many times the tree is solid except where you need it. Also, too much tension on the pull line can
break a hinge...
that makes perfect sense. Thanks!
so how do you handle it when the side lean is not perfectly 90° from the felling direction. oh, I guess you would just try to find a guy anchor that was opposite of that lean, no matter what, and use the height to compensate for the amount of lean. I think I'm...
