    Always want to load into compression, so tie at the base of the tree your in to stay in compression. Here is a canabase which is pretty awesome allowing you to use smaller unions

    After using a large majority of the lines available for SRS ive found tying the Michoacan with 28" HRC is my go to as it will always do its job. I fine tune it afterwards with different cordage and lengths. Recently I went to a 30" OP using a 6 wrap Michoacan and it runs like using a mehanical.

    Spurs would be a great option if the victim is on a spar. Could you imagine spurring up a large oak and having to pass over every limb on the way up? That would take forever!! There is no answer to all scenarios.
