Sean, thanks for sharing that Morbark video.
Alot has changed since I bought my Morbark disc chipper new in the spring of 2001.
Only work I done on it in the last 18 years is regular maintenance and knife changes. Bulletproof machine.
Of course you don't get the knicks out with the carbide, Lol.
But using the carbide getting the edge back sharp with minor knicks still in the edge will get you back chipping again.
Great way to extend time between knife changes.
You put more hand pressure on the carbide towards the single bevel side of the chipper knife to avoid putting a double bevel edge in the knife.
No worries about deforming the knife edge as when time comes to get them professionally sharpened to proper angle the that whole edge is removed anyways...
I've been operating my tree service for over 20 years now, running solo for the last 10.

Nope I'm good on my end. I'm a member on about 10 other sites and they're all lightening fast.
But getting on here this time seems to be a bit faster.....
I'm a new member here and I have to say as great of a forum tree buzz is, it is really frustrating trying to load up on here.
I never log out but I find this forum is basically frozen 90% of the time. I was unsuccessful getting on this morning.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong as I have no...
Yes lots of change of ownership in the last few years along with twinning other great companies like Tree Stuff.
But you gotta give credit where it's due, Tobe revolutionized the industry with most notably the Big Shot.
Also putting out a great catalog for all those years that no one could...
