    Old thread but I thought i'd post. Spliced this one today but the bury is such a pain! Anybody got any techniques on finishing the crossover bury? Snapping this rope seems to help little to none :(

    for my soft fid I just used a small piece of hollow braid rope. just run it through where u want the core and leave a long tail, then run the core through the soft fid like you would the jacket into the core on a DB splice. make sure the majority of your taper is inside the soft fid to prevent...

    I just finished my first kernmaster splice and was coming on to post a picture when I saw your post! removing the core was the toughest part for me. my first attempt tucking the core was with a wire fid and I took nicks advice and did a super long taper. with the long taper it was a little tough...
