Wrench looking kinda device, the Apex.

I just measured and I found that the highest setting of 4 (or possibly 3) is very similar to that of the ZK-2 so you have a lot of play. I found that a 2 was perfect for me.

I wonder if the WLL is with consideration of your shared weight on the Hitch? Either way, that is much lighter than expected.

No it does not rotate and does not appear to be replaceable. It seems that this will be the biggest downside of the APEX. The Cam is probably most at risk of wearing. I can't say what material is is made of. Sadly, It does not fit on the Notch Fusion Tether. I just tried to put it on myself...

Not sure how much interest is still on this thread, but I got my hands on an early APEX. Shoot me any questions!

Notch, is the brand really that bad?

I have several Notch products (Gear Bags, Throw Weights, RopeRunner Pro, Fusion Tether etc) and they're all great and decent quality. I do however stay away from their saddles, handsaws, carabiners, and throwline cubes. Do people mostly hate on the "generic version" feeling Notch has or have...

Unboxing the Arbsession Tube O' Gear - Casey Snyder

Mystery Tree Gear unboxing (tubing?) today. Arbession's Tube O' Gear is a really fun way to recycle tubing and random rope lengths. This is one of the most fun tree gear boxes I've ever opened. Find the Tube O' Gear at Arbsession.com (Note: Quantities of the Tube O' Gear are limited).
