I just measured and I found that the highest setting of 4 (or possibly 3) is very similar to that of the ZK-2 so you have a lot of play. I found that a 2 was perfect for me.
No it does not rotate and does not appear to be replaceable. It seems that this will be the biggest downside of the APEX. The Cam is probably most at risk of wearing. I can't say what material is is made of.
Sadly, It does not fit on the Notch Fusion Tether. I just tried to put it on myself...

I have several Notch products (Gear Bags, Throw Weights, RopeRunner Pro, Fusion Tether etc) and they're all great and decent quality.
I do however stay away from their saddles, handsaws, carabiners, and throwline cubes.
Do people mostly hate on the "generic version" feeling Notch has or have...
