The old style husky momentary off switches were pretty handy. So you didn’t stand around like a dummy yanking on the saw while the switch was in the off position and you forgot to check.
Look bud you don’t agree with what I have to say that’s fine. It’s your prerogative. We aren’t all going to agree all the time. But personal attacks because you don’t agree aren’t cool. If you’ve got a problem with me personally I’d say the ignore button is your best bet. Have a happy new year...
Teak is beautiful wood that’s an awesome gift for sure. I like the weathered look too. I remember cutting down south for hurricane clean up in the Southern Alabama Florida panhandle area. I thought man this sure is some easy cutting wood down here. Until I ran into some pecan. That’s some pretty...
Completely agree. Anything we have here is nothing compared to something like Brazilian Teak. You have any of that down there Paul? I tried to work some for a woodworking project once and that shit was super hard!
I had a friend from Australia come cut with me and he laughed at everything but...
Haha I think you’re a pretty funny dude the more I think about it. And you completely missed my point. Only you know what’s best for you. If that’s a 572 with a 32” bar then more power to you. And only I know what’s best for me. A 572 with a 32” bar won’t work well here. All we can do is speak...
Yeah and eucalyptus out there too. Try it with a dead euc. I doubt it would be good for more than in a pinch. Try it with something like hedge or rock hard maple out here. Also no bueno. The growth cycle is harder on trees with the winters. I’ve cut some out there and some down south. The...
I mentioned the 572 a few comments back. It’s a great saw with nice smooth av. The 400 isn’t technically a 70cc saw at 67cc. It’s really a 60cc chassis saw with 70cc power. I wouldn’t run anything more than 25” on it. A good ported one can pull 28” but the chassis just isn’t made for it. It...
You won’t be dissatisfied with a mastermind saw. I have a few by him. I also have a few more done by Kevin Lavanway aka XS saws.

Ported it runs a 25 like a boss, but i usually just run a 20 on mine.
The 400 is the perfect fit in that lineup. A lot of folks don’t realize that it’s 60cc weight and has more power than a stock 10mm 044 Stihl.
You forgot the Husky 572. Probably their best current 70cc class saw.
